Experience
I have been a tutor for six years. My experience includes volunteer tutoring, as well as tutoring as a job. I started out teaching middle school students, but have also tutored elementary school students. My main subject to tutor is math. I have also tutored a refugee from South Sudan in ESL. I prepared him for his citizenship exam. I assisted him with his speaking and reading skills. He successfully passed his exam. I am very interactive with my students, and I want to make their lessons with me rewarding. I strive to make my students comfortable with me, and enable them to ask questions in order to understand the material. I graduated from the University of Richmond. I majored in Healthcare and Society. My minor was in Biology. Currently, I am attending Tufts University. I am a first year master's degree student in an Occupational Therapy Program. I feel my educational experience with Occupational Therapy helps my style of teaching to benefit all of my students. I will be taking a course on Animal Assisted Therapy next semester.In my spare time, I enjoy animals, reading, and dancing. I also like to spend time with my family and friends.
