Experience
I teach math at Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, Massachusetts. While I was teaching, I taught classes for students in all grades on pre-algebra and on to BC and AP calculus. Before I was a teacher, I studied mathematics education, attaining my undergraduate degree and my graduate degree at the University of Maine. When I was a graduate student, I took the chance to supervise a center specializing in tutoring in science and mathematics for undergraduate students. I also created and taught education trainings for teachers to meet the Common Core State Standards for middle school and high school. I am enthusiastic about computer science and math, and I really enjoy seeing students become excited when they see their own potential. With mathematics as the groundwork, we can evaluate an astonishingly wide array of real-life problems. I know from experience that the learners can enormously boost their capacity to impartially use logic in about almost any part of our everyday lives through math. When I have extra time, I like keeping active by going on hikes, playing tennis, ballroom dancing, and yoga.
