I graduated from Bard College with a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry. During college, I was also a pre-med student and a research assistant in an organometallic lab. I am available to tutor a wide range of subject matters. My specialties are natural sciences (especially biology and chemistry) and history. During my academic career, I worked as a tutor for science, French, and humanities courses. I find tutoring very gratifying, especially the opportunities to aid understanding of difficult subjects like the sciences. I am qualified to tutor a variety of subjects beyond my specialties, including calculus and other fields of mathematics, social studies, and technology and computer science. I can also lend assistance to standardized test preparation, such as SAT (Verbal, Critical Reading, and Mathematics).I have a deeply varied background. I was born in Sudan, and I lived in many countries before entering college (Italy, China, and Ethiopia). Because of my diverse experiences, I find it easy to remain patient and adaptable with students. My goal is to make learning not only enjoyable, but also to tailor my tutoring to fit every student's individual needs. Beyond formal instruction, I love to light a spark that grows to a love of the sciences.
