EducationSuffolk University - BS, Computer Science
ExperienceI received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Suffolk University. After graduation I began working in the field of software design, focusing primarily on the development of mobile applications. While I am most passionate about computer science and math, my educational background also had an emphasis on English and science. I began tutoring as a student in high school where I worked with peers and younger students in a wide variety of subjects. While I worked most extensively with middle and high school students in the field of mathematics, I have also tutored computer skills and English in a class for refugees. It is my belief that having a true understanding of mathematical principles and procedures is essential for academic success. When I am tutoring I make an effort to present the information in a variety of ways in order to ensure I find the learning style that will be most beneficial to my students. Often the biggest hurdle students face is their own anxiety. To overcome this, I make learning mathematics a more personal experience by finding ways to relate it to the student's everyday life. When I'm not designing software or tutoring I enjoy playing the violin, reading, spending time outdoors, and computers.
